This came out disastrously. I think it was an extremely bitter onion.

An allegedly vidalia onion, giant and terribly bitter, made worse I think by putting all the ingredients in a food processor that made a mush rather than even finely chopped, made this unrecoverable, even after adding sugar and wine (Manda says wine is acid and increases bitterness).

This didn't come out badly at all, though I forgot to even do the sesame seeds

Korean Soybeans
http://www.fatfreevegan.com/soy/996.shtml

Recipe By : The Bean Harvest Cookbook, Ashley Miller
Serving Size : 4

1 cup dried soybeans -- (2 cups cooked)
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Sort through, rinse, soak, and cook the beans by your preferred method. Skim the cooking water with a slotted spoon to remove the bean skins. Drain.

In a medium-size pot, combine the soy sauce, water, and sugar. Add the soybeans. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, partially covered, about 25-30 minutes, or until all the liquid has been absorbed. Remove from the heat and stir in the sesame oil.

In a toaster oven or heavy frying pan, toast the sesame seeds until lightly browned. Sprinkle on top of the beans. Serve hot.

Mostly I just went ahead and did a stir fry I because I know how to do that.

Onion (one small old one, yellow), sliced
Carrot, sliced
Broccoli, large florets
Cauliflower, smaller florets
Green beans, just broken in half

Plus, on the side:

walnuts fried/toasted in olive oil food processed up with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and salt.

Tofu, fried up with just some salt in sesame oil.

And portobello mushrooms grilled in sesame oil with garlic.
