Public service ad for the best breakfast/sandwich/hot-soft-pretzel person at Back Bay train, bus, and subway station. Go there, buy stuff, and tip well, even if you don't plan to forget your wallet there.

Reminded me a little of Dad, the day I left my wallet too. (Seriously, my father was an old black man in his soul.)

He so didn't want me to give him any money for that he forgot and wasn't going to charge me for the hot soft pretzel I ordered. (I stuck a $20 bill between two ones for the tip.) "We've had lots of wallets left over the years, and we've returned every one."

Yep, I lost the debit/credit cards to three entities other than myself, and a blank check i have from my brother on account of money he owes me (i was going to take as little as possible to pay my taxes, as it turned out i took none), but I think i was most concerned about having lost my original library card from when I was maybe six years old, and that nice picture of Cathy that somehow doesn't wear out, and the picture of my nephews that I still haven't cut to fit in the photo slots...

Lost it - left it on the counter, another customer gave it to this wonderful man - on Thursday while getting Kara and Brad sandwiches as they waited for the Megabus; I got called and picked it up Saturday.

So when he called I went and got my wallet back, including the now-dead card, with a brief stop to join a solidarity-with-Iranian-people election demonstration.

And here's the link to the Copley Iran Election protest i also went to:
