It's official. Any movie can make me cry.

I mean, i didn't actually, but i'm working and just listening to Cars, the Incredible Hulk, and Bolt, which my nephews are watching in the back of the Toyota FJ and Dan is driving us all up to Massachusetts.

(And only Cars and Bolt tugged the old heartstrings.)

Sure, there's a lot going on– people i love going through some times of change and uncertainty, in one case there's a lovely but unlikely hope of that impacting me, and then there's my own insanity, a bit more in overdrive with the book project than even is usual. There's reason for me to be a little physically (back to lacking sleep) and emotionally worn down, but it seems crafted narrative can get to me more than real life ever does. Or do i not let real life? I don't get it, i know, in a frighteningly certain way, that in real life anything could happen to me and i'll be ok. Deeprooted denial and anger are my reactions to unsettling changes and tragedy in my life.

And of course my main reaction in stumbling onto this obvious insight of the power of stories is how to tell one about Visions Unite, and then tell stories with Visions Unite, that make people care and do the hard work of working with one another.
