In loving, living memory, John Melançon 1928 – 2007
Sunday, bringing A back to the bus, she and K vetoed going to a park to listen to the Boston Pops do ragtime and such, and wanted to find a dive bar for the last few hours of the weekend visit.
A found the place on Yelp, free pool (it had the pay mechanism but the side keeping people from getting to the balls was ripped off– also the cue ball rolled into the main area), clear local regulars, and not a rich snob in site.
South of South Station. On West Broadway, down around maybe E street.
The cove something, but the sign over the door mostly says GUINNESS.
