UPDATE: I completely forgot the Wellfleet drive-in theater! Can't miss that either!

Hello C____,

Drop me a line with some contact info if you want me to let you know when I'm in the area- http://mlncn.com/

My grandfather lives in Wellfleet and I should be visiting a fair amount.

Things to do?

Go to a performance at the Wellfleet Harbor Actors' Theater (WHAT)

Marconi Beach for the historical first radio transmission stuff.

The next beach going North for low key beach stuff, then Surfer's beach (it has a different official name, Whitecrest) for the waves, and finally (last in the series) Cahoon Hollow for the Beachcomber bar and live music.

Oh, and take a shower at a beach with facilities to get the salt water off and turn left at or after Cahoon Hollow for Great Pond or Long Pond. These spring-fed ponds in Wellfleet are just awesome.

And I think its the Black Duck restaurant, on the road from route 6 to downtown and the harbor, that has live jazz and other performances regularly.

Eat at the Bookstore (near the harbor)

Eat at Van Rensselaer's (on Route 6)

And for my own little slice of the town, head down Lieutenant Island Road and take a Bay-side (and hence warmer) dip at "the shack"-- just sort of keep bearing right once you're over the bridge and on the island, and you'll get there. There is nothing official or marked about it. Loagy Bay is beautiful.

Oh, and the National Seashore of course.

Go to Provincetown and there's whole other lists for there!
