hey how did you cook the basmati rice
like times and protions?
i ruined it
benjamin melançon:
pour the rice into a pot, corningware works
measure the height with a finger
put in twice as much water as there is rice, so if it's up to the first knuckle on the pinky, up to the second knuckle on the pinky
bring to a boil (can keep covered to get hot faster, but then let it come to the final boil uncovered)
can add some salt and spices before or after this
stir and then cover mostly, leave a little crack maybe, and put it on quite low
on a gas stove almost as low as you can get without the flame going out
and then add water as needed because, seriously, do you really think that finger measurement worked?
