Q: My hot water boiler has a McDonnell No 230 1" safety relief valve(opening pressure 30# Capacity 743,000 BTU/hr) which is leaking. Do you make a service or repair kit for this valve? I realize it is probably more than 25 years old, but due to valve location and the way the pipes are run, it is almost impossible to remove the old valve for replacement. I would prefer to rebuild the old or buy a new valve of the same size which would fit on the base of the old valve. Is this possible? I greatly appreciate your assistance with this problem and look forward to hearing from you.

A: Rebuild kits are not available for the relief valves. The Series 230 is no longer availabe and has been replced with the Series 250. You can check dimension in the product catalog which is located on the M&M website.
